- Events and functions: There is a no smoking policy for all events and functions, including coach journeys and restaurants, when in the company of others.
- No pets allowed at any function or event.
- Deposits for all events and functions will be required at the time of booking.
- Final payment will be required at the date advised by the event organizer. Members should attend the coffee morning prior to the event to ascertain up-to-date information on the arrangements.
- Organizers, or their nominated deputy, must issue signed, dated receipts for all moneys received.
- Deposits and/or full payments are normally non-refundable. However, organizers can use their discretion depending on circumstances.
- No bookings are transferable.
- Tips and gratuities are included in all costings.
- Where seating arrangements have been made by the organizer, members and guests are requested to abide by these arrangements.
- Weekly coffee mornings: The advised entrance fee is applicable to all people attending, whether or not a refreshment is taken. All guests must be signed into the visitors’ book by a club member.
- When booking an event or function, members may be required to give their membership number.
- Non-members will be required to pay a small surcharge when attending functions or events. The amount will be at the discretion of the organizer.
- It is recommended that all members obtain travel insurance to cover for all high cost overnight excursions. The committee of CAP reserve the right not to accept members or their guests for whom, in the opinion of the committee, the event or the excursion is deemed unsuitable
- In the event of members cancelling, please contact the organizer or a committee member at the earliest opportunity.
- Where possible, all functions and events will be advised via the club magazine giving a brief description, venue, date, organizer’s name and, if finalized, the cost per person. Members wishing to receive a magazine in the UK, or at a postal address elsewhere, must provide an appropriately stamped, addressed envelope, indicating on the reverse the month required. Postage will be charged at current rates.
- The President will serve for two years. The Vice-president will also serve for two years and in normal circumstances be offered the post of President on completion.
- The annual audit of the club’s accounts should be carried out by a competent and qualified person, not being a current member of the committee.
- The Treasurer and Secretary will under normal circumstances serve that office for a period of two years, and be superseded by their assistants.
- Club membership is for a period of twelve months, from 1st January to 31st December.
- Club membership will not exceed four hundred members. The Executive Board and Committee may, when deemed necessary, increase this number by up to ten percent.
- The agreed membership fee for this period will be €12, and members have until 1st March to renew their membership.
General
When attending any function or event organized by the Club, members and their guests are expected to uphold the good name of CAP and not to behave in any way that could cause its reputation to be brought into disrepute.
