Dear Members
A big welcome back to CAP. I hope you all had a good summer break. Your committee had a busy summer searching for new premises to host our club, and after many visits to various places that generally didn't have enough space to accommodate us all, we finally found The Oak, where Tony and Trevor have made us very welcome. We have enjoyed several coffee mornings here during our break, and I am sure we will be looked after very well. There is also plenty of space to allow our weekly whist and bridge activities to continue at the same venue. So here we are!
What happened at El Paraiso Country Club was unfortunate, but we will put it behind us, look at it as a new beginning for the club, and move on.
We are now looking forward to our Autumn season, and your committee has come up with many ideas for events to fill our agenda: Steve Ashton will be hosting a monthly quiz night which we hope will prove popular, and several trips, lunches and suppers are planned. Of course, we do not expect everyone to support every event, but we hope members will find one or two they will enjoy. As usual, please let us know if you have any ideas of your own.
